Yesterday we had our first canning workshop of the year. Dana Wright from the WV Extension service led the canning class at Victoria Courts in Williamson, WV. Ingredients including apples, tomatoes, chili pepers and onions were purchases from the Williamson Farmers Market on Saturday, and then properly put into jars on Sunday. The lesson of the day was on Apple Preserves and Chile Salsa! Everyone was surprised as how easy the process was! Below are the recipes for each one, and several pictures from each.
